- The “M” in MIC is an essential amino acid, which means that it is not synthesized in humans. This amino acid assists in the breakdown of fats within the liver; helps to lower cholesterol thereby preventing excess fat buildup in the liver and throughout your body’s circulatory system; is helpful in preventing and relieving fatigue; and is useful in some cases of allergies by virtue of its ability to reduce histamine release.
- The “I” in MIC is a B-vitamin that promotes the health of cell structures and nerve synapses; aids in the metabolism of fats; helps reduce blood cholesterol; and participates in the activation of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.
- The “C” in MIC is an essential nutrient that helps to support the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products. Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular, and hepatic systems.
- L-Carnitine is an amino acid which is required for the transport and breakdown of body fat for the generation of metabolic energy. Studies show that L-Carnitine can decrease fat mass, reserve muscle during exercise, reduce muscle fatigue, and regulate/determine whether muscle tissue utilizes carbohydrates or fat for energy. When administered by boost, nutrients like L-Carnitine are 100% absorbed by the body.
- VItamin C is a powerful antioxidant useful in both disease prevention as well as general health.. Low vitamin C levels have been correlated with a higher BMI, increased body fat, and larger waist circumference.

The Raden Difference
Using a unique combination of IV nutrients and peptides, this curated, medical weight loss program is designed to support any weight loss journey.
Our infusions are compounded on-site in a sterile environment and deliver only the highest-grade, non-GMO vitamins, nutrients, amino acids, and minerals with incredible precision. We are a full-service medical center with an in house laboratory, providing blood draws at the time of infusion.
Raden has formed a partnership with a state-of-the-art FDA regulated compounding pharmacy to secure an ongoing supply of peptides. With regards to peptides, physician supervision is key. Our goal is to continue to provide you with the highest quality of services, and products to help you live your most optimal life.
Thus, we analyze your baseline labs prior to prescribing any of these services to determine that you are a good candidate for this protocol. These required labs play a crucial role in establishing the eligibility of patients, serving as a vital prerequisite. They not only ensure that individuals are suitable candidates but also evaluate key indicators such as thyroid function, whose imbalance can impede the process of weight loss. At Raden Wellness, our overarching objective is to enhance all facets of well-being, including weight loss, hormonal balance, and cellular health. Our dedicated medical team will delve into these aspects during your initial visit, providing comprehensive insights to maximize the efficacy of your wellness journey.

Details That Make a Difference
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide, a subcutaneous protocol, is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) analog. GLP-1 is a peptide hormone produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon secretion, slows gastric emptying, and regulates appetite – all of which aid in healthy and effective weight loss.
What is Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide injection is a combination of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP)- (stimulates the production, release and/or activity of insulin) receptor and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. These peptides, which are secreted by the gut in response to nutrient load, enhance the secretion of insulin after a meal and improve glycemic control.
What is the difference between Semaglutide and TIrzepatide?
Tirzepatide and semaglutide are two peptides that are highly effective at helping individuals lose body fat in a relatively short period of time. Both tirzepatide and semaglutide are glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, however tirzepatide is also a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor agonist. Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) both result in similar activity; increasing insulin sensitivity, triglyceride clearance, lipolysis (fat utilization for fuel) and metabolic rate (metabolism), and decreasing appetite, fat storage and rate of digestion. Due to it’s dual action on Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), tirzepatide is more effective than semaglutide at promoting weight loss, but both drugs are associated with a significant reduction in body weight. However, both tirzepatide and semaglutide are associated with equal efficacy on lowering blood sugar levels and similar risk of side effects.
How does Semaglutide work for weight loss?
Semaglutide helps to stabilize your blood sugar. While using Semaglutide, patients also lose weight. GLP-1, the key hormone involved, slows gastric emptying, the rate at which your stomach empties food. Semaglutide also blocks the hormone glucagon that causes your liver to release sugar. These aid in appetite control, making you feel less hungry, and therefore eat less and lose more weight.
Does Semaglutide and Tirzepatide control your appetite?
It is believed that Semaglutide and Tirzepatide can help make you feel less hungry, and keep you full for longer. It also plays a role in regulating your appetite.
How long does it take to lose weight on Semaglutide?
Weight loss is different for each individual, which is why we, at Raden Wellness, begin with low dosages. Our provider may choose to slowly increase your dose depending on your goal, your rate of weight loss, and other factors. The average Raden patient has lost an average of 12 pounds in 8 weeks (*This is not a claim or absolute guarantee. Results from a group of Raden patients. Results may vary.). We recommend using Semaglutide in combination with a healthy diet and exercise. Should you need assistance in this area, Raden’s Integrative Nutritionist Karen Raden can help.
How long should you take Semaglutide for weight loss?
Patients can repeat Raden’s Medical Weight Loss Program as many times as preferred, under guidance of Raden practioner. Semaglutide is FDA approved under a prescription name at higher dosage for Diabetes type 2. At these higher doses, we see more side effects such as nausea, bloating, constipation. If you are taking the higher dosage for Diabetes type 2, please contact your primary care physician to monitor your dosage.
Is the Medical Weight Loss Program covered by my insurance?
No, it is not covered by insurance.
How will I receive the Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?
Once enrolled in the program and evaluated by our practitioner, our Wellness Administrators will work with you to either schedule your weekly IVs at Raden Wellness (where you’ll receive IV and Semaglutide/Tirzepatide) or ship all supplies directly to your home.
Are there any side effects of Semaglutide?
Side effects with Semaglutide are rare. At higher doses, we see more side effects such as nausea, bloating, diarrhea and constipation.
Are there any side effects of Tirzepatide?
Side effects with Tirzepatide are rare. At higher doses, we see more side effects such as nausea, bloating, diarrhea and constipation. At Raden, Tirzepatide is combined with BPC-157 and Vitamin B6 to help combat any potential side effects. BPC-157 can address the underlying inflammation with the hope for more sustained weight loss and better systemic health and also counteracts some of the GI side effects seen with this class of peptides. B vitamins help the body convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy. B-vitamins also help the body metabolize fats and proteins and are needed for healthy skin, hair, eyes, and liver. They also help the nervous system function properly.
Do I need to prepare for the baseline labs?
Our baseline labs require a fast of 8-12 hours. Water, tea and black coffee are permitted.
