Ketamine Therapy

A Medical Breakthrough

At Raden, we believe that ketamine is one of the biggest breakthroughs in the field of psychiatry.

Ketamine targets NMDA receptors in the brain. Ketamine binds to these receptors, thus increasing the amount of a neurotransmitter called glutamate in the space between neurons. Glutamate activates connections in another receptor called the AMPA receptor. This sequence of steps leads to release of BDNF, which provides the antidepressant effect of Ketamine. Classic antidepressants induce BDNF-related changes following several weeks of administration. In contrast, Ketamine administration rapidly (within 30 min of administration) induces a rapid increase in BDNF levels. BDNF signaling was shown to be necessary for Ketamine antidepressant actions.

We recommend six guided Ketamine sessions over two weeks.

Benefits of Ketamine Therapy

The Raden Approach

Our recommended six-sessions allow for one to build upon the next, helping patients go deeper into intentions, discover new areas of self improvement, and continue to tackle areas or goals in life.

Raden has on-site therapists that are trained in guided Ketamine therapy. We also partner with outside therapists and psychologists, allowing for patient’s to keep their own therapist during treatment. This integrative approach to ketamine therapy benefits patients as they learn to navigate emotions, and reach emotional breakthrough. The combination of guided therapeutic sessions along with our ketamine infusions truly is an incredible tool. Our protocol creates an environment for our patients to do the hard work and to experience lasting benefits
